I am doing a project on Tragedy (drama) and I need to have the class do a game relating to tragedy. Help?
The entire class has to participate. It can be a game, or maybe a kit, or I could teach them a song or something like that. I’ve got nothing. It has to relate to tragedy.

- how about giving the class a comic play or short story & getting them all to convert it into a tragedy ?
- ask them to list 5 situations or events [eg. death of loved one, of pet, compy conked off, marriage, power outage, natural disasters....] in life that they consider tragic. they can even prioritize it. then compile & collate. do a simple frequency test & make up a final class list of ‘tragedy’.
- also through interaction, try to see how many of these ‘events’ are usually present in any literary tragedy.
- have a few tragic situations thought out. present each situation to them & elicit what their own reaction to that tragedy would be & how they would resolve/cope with it.
- maybe act out a short tragic play ?
- give the calss a few words relating to/expressing tragedy & have them compose a song or verses using some or all of those words.
hope these inspire you to better ideas
all the very best
am guessing this is an assignment from high school? would guess that you’ve been learning about tragedies in this class? if so depending on how creative you are you might use one of the examples you’ve studied and turn it into a trivia game but twist it so that the question can be answered based on that piece or it can apply to something current event wise.
hope that helps… having more information would make suggesting easier.
good luck
